The Clarion Choir joins The English Concert and Harry Bicket in an international tour of Handel’s Semele - one of Handel's most celebrated and best-loved musical dramas, with the story derived from Ovid's Metamorphoses. The stunning music calls for a virtuosic cast, and it is one of the operas which Handel himself chose to have performed in 'the manner of an oratorio,’ making it ideal for concert performance.
The tour includes a performance at Carnegie Hall on April 14th as well as others in Paris, London, Sage, Gateshead (UK), Hanover (NH), Ann Arbor (MI), and Philadelphia.
