Continuing a tradition of performing Russian sacred music on New Year’s Eve and Day, the renowned Clarion Choir, together with the PaTRAM Institute Singers (Peter Jermihov, conductor), presents this joint program of music from the early decades of 20th century, a time of rich development in the music of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Clarion Choir will perform Alexander Kastalsky's Memory Eternal written exactly 100 years ago in memory of those who lost their lives in the First World War. The PaTRAM Institute Singers will perform varied works by Russian composers who spent much of their careers in the United States, such as Rachmaninoff, Sviridov and Prokofiev.
Please join us for this special annual New Year's tradition!
